Beauty-conscious woman, 25, is left with a LOPSIDED mouth after plastic surgery went wrong
- Ms Guo paid £3,960 for a jaw reshaping surgery in Hubei, China last March
- Doctors said condition was a result of nerve damage caused by a complication
- The hospital had offered to refund the surgery costs but Guo refused to accept it
A woman has been left with a lopsided mouth for nine months following a plastic surgery mishap in central China.
The devastated 25-year-old patient, surnamed Guo, paid 35,000 (£3,960) for a jaw reshaping surgery at the Wuhan Huamei Plastic Surgery Hospital in late March last year. Four days after the operation, she was shocked to wake up with a pair of disfigured lips.
Doctors at the hospital insisted the condition was a result of nerve damage caused by a complication in the procedure, according to Chinese reports.

A recent assessment by a judicial agency approved by the Hubei Provincial Department of Justice declared Guo's condition a Grade 10 disability, according to CCTV.
The scale, where one is the highest and 10 the lowest, is determined by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.
'I was just hoping to shave a bit of my lower jaw to make my features a bit softer,' the woman told video news site Pear.
When she complained to the doctors after the procedure, they told her everything would go back to normal in two months. In May, she was given treatment following an electromyography, a nerve and muscle test.

However, after more than nine months, her condition did not improve and Guo was still left with a wonky mouth.
In November, the hospital offered to refund her surgery cost of 35,000 yuan (£3,960) and an additional 5,000 yuan (£566) as compensation, but Guo refused.
'I did not accept their offer. My entire life has been ruined,' she said.
'Look at me - my lips are still lopsided. I cannot control my muscles on this side anymore,' she said, pointing to her left chin.
'I'm only 24, I'm still single.' she added. 'I'm very worried about my future. I look so ugly, what am I going to do?'

In January, a university student died of malignant hyperthermia, a severe reaction caused by anaesthesia, during a nose job at Li Mei Kang Plastic Surgery Hospital in Guiyang, Guizhou province.
The National Health Commission has been cracking down on unregulated cosmetic clinics, handing down punishments in more than 2,700 cases involving legal violations and irregularities in cosmetic surgery services in the past year, according to China Daily.
Health authorities across China have revoked the permits of 28 cosmetic surgery providers, including medical institutions, ordered 47 vocational training institutes to cease illegal services and ordered service providers to correct 743 cosmetic surgery advertisements.
