Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, The facility of battery operated car has been provided at the Bhopal railway station to the passengers at the Bhopal railway station for taking them to the platform from the circulating area. The railway officials have made two such cars available. Divyang, senior citizens and other passengers can avail of this facility.
The battery operated car would be available at platform number 1 and 6 for taking passengers to platform from circulating area and from circulating area to platform. The charges for the car have been fixed at Rs 30 per passenger.
Railway Ministry has launched battery-operated car service for station premises in an attempt to help old and differently-abled passengers needing assistance. The users will be able to book battery-operated cars.
The battery operated car is positioned at the desired point at the platform near the coach of the arriving passenger or at the entrance of the station building.Senior citizens, differently-abled, pregnant women and medically sick travelers will be given a preference.
