Big Truck Driver Runs Vehicles Off The Road, Causes Five Hour Standoff In Mississipi

Dashcam video has caught the bizarre road rage story of semi driver Michael Mack  who used his big rig to push several vehicles off Interstate 10 (I-10) in Alabama and Mississippi.

In the YouTube video, you can see a white Ford F-150 attempt to pass Mack’s semi. As the truck reaches the semi’s rear bumper, Mack swerves into the F-150 and pushes it off the road. He then continues driving as if nothing has happened.

The pickup goes chasing after the semi and eventually catches up to it. Once again, Mack swerves into the F-150. The truck driver manages to maintain control and begins following the semi, while keeping their distance to avoid being hit again.

The clip ends in rather undramatic fashion, but WKRG reports the wrath of destruction started near a truck stop when a Mobile County ambulance spotted Mack driving recklessly. The ambulance reported the incident to dispatchers and then turned on its emergency lights in an effort to get Mack to pull over.

This didn’t please the 33-year old trucker from Baton Rouge , who swerved into the ambulance. Mack continued driving and eventually hit a total of three different vehicles owned by civilians. Police responded to the scene and a chase reportedly ensued.

Mack eventually pulled over and sparked a standoff which reportedly lasted for approximately five hours. In the end, police used a combination of flashbangs, teargas and smoke to get Mack – who was armed with a machete – to surrender.

The man now faces a long list of charges in multiple jurisdictions. These charges reportedly include felony pursuit, three counts of aggravated assault against a police officer, two counts of attempted assault and five counts of reckless endangerment.
