UP: RSS activist beaten up in Aligarh, five cops suspended

AGRA: Five policemen were suspended in Aligarh late last night for allegedly beating up an RSS activist and his family members when the latter had gone to Sasni police station to meet his son, who had been earlier detained by the police.
The RSS activist’s son Guarav was detained after a clash was reported following a collision of his scooter with a cart. When RSS activist, Shyam Sunder Gupta, reached the police station he was allegedly manhandled by the cops on duty.
Following the incident, RSS and BJP workers gheraoed police station and demanded strict action against the accused cops.
Aligarh SSP Aakash Kulhari immediately suspended five policemen including, two sub-inspectors, Raju Rana and Madan Pal Singh and three Constables posted at Sasnigate police station after checking the CCTV footage. He said that “unnecessary and excessive force” was used by the policemen. He also assured BJP workers to transfer the accused cops to other districts.
