Mirage fighter aircraft crashes in Bengaluru, pilots safe

BENGALURU: A Mirage fighter aircraft crashed at the rear side of HAL airport, official sources said. The incident happened at about 10.30am. The Mirage 2000 had taken off when a technical glitch caused the crash.
"It is a Mirage as it appears. We are waiting for exact details," the source said.
Prima facie the pilots are reportedly safe and more details are awaited.
The reason for the crash is yet to be determined. The incident happened near Yamalur off old Airport Road here.
