Kavundampalayam constituency has highest number of voters
tnn | Feb 1, 2019, 00:13 ISTCoimbatore: The district has 28.61 lakh voters as per the final electoral roll released by district collector (incharge) Durai Ravichandran on Thursday. As usual, women voters outnumbered men by 26,284. The total number voters in the district has increased by 1% compared to the previous final roll. There are a total of 311 transgender voters as well.
While 70,175 voters have been included in the final roll, 41,723 voters have been removed from the list, said an official involved in preparing the roll. “At least 19,489 voters were found to have multiple entries in the database, 8,869 voters had shifted to other districts and 13,365 voters were found to be dead. So, all their names were deleted from the list after conducting ground inspection,” the official said.
