Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, A day-long Tarana singing workshop was organized on Tuesday at Jawahar Balbhavan. In which subject expert Nirmala Upadhyaya gave information about singing on children, Tarana is a type of classical singing which does means anything, in which words like Nom, Tom, Odni, Tadi, Tanaa etc. are used.
Tarana is sung in all the rocks and thoughts of all the rhythms. The main aim of Tarana singing is to pronounce the melody, preparation, lyrical and speech practice of the vowels and in the rhythm, clarity in speech comes through Tarana singing.
Nirmala Upadhyay trained children in ‘Raga-Patdip’ in ‘Tarana singing’ and introduced them with its singing style. About 25 interested children of classical singing took part in this workshop.
Dr. Umashankar Nagayach, the director of Jawahar Balbhavan told that the children were introduced to one of the types of song singing, in the Indian music system, through Tarana singing, through this workshop.
