Fans reminisce on past glory as #DearKaizerChiefs trends

2019-01-31 13:22

Cape Town - Fans showed their frustration and hilarious sense of humour when reminiscing on past glory as #DearKaizerChiefs trends across Twitter.

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Ernst Middendorp lashed out at goalkeeper Virgil Vries who committed another costly error in a 1-0 defeat in an Absa Premiership clash to Cape Town City on Wednesday.

As it happened: Kaizer Chiefs 0-1 Cape Town City

Despite dominating large periods of the encounter - with a number of chances falling to striker Khama Billiat in the first-half - Chiefs were left empty-handed after a mistake by Vries was punished by the away side in the 78th minute.

Fans took to Twitter to show their frustration with plenty of memes poking fun at the Soweto giants.
