A mother has been caught drink-driving in a McDonald's drive-thru because she says she didn't feel like cooking for her kids.
Virginia Margaret Muir had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.106, which is more than double the legal limit, when police caught her on the night of December 17 and immediately suspended her licence.
She admitted driving to the fast-food store in Currimundi, south of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, with her teenage children after drinking alcohol - and said she did so because she didn't want to cook.

Police caught Muir driving to a Coles supermarket two days later and she admitted she was aware her licence was suspended, Sunshine Coast Daily reported.
The court heard Muir is a disability pensioner who suffered from memory loss and a learning disability.
She pleaded guilty to drink driving, driving on a suspended licence and not supplying her identification at Caloundra Magistrates Court.
Muir's licence was completely disqualified until January 19, 2021 and she was fined $800 for both driving charges.
