A sum of ₹269 crore for the Puthur Zollogical Park is one of the main allocations in the State Budget for Thrissur district.

The Kerala Lalithakala Akademi will implement ‘Vanitha Mathil’ memorial projects in various districts. An amount of ₹33 crore is earmarked for the Kerala Institute of Local Administration, and ₹20 crore for Kerala University for Health Sciences.
The people in coastal belt will be benefited by the decision to provide ₹10 lakh for people, who have to be relocated due to sea erosion. An amount of ₹100 crore has been earmarked for their rehabilitation.
Allocation for Industrial parks will benefit Athani Industrial Park.
