269 cr. for Puthur Zoological Park

A sum of ₹269 crore for the Puthur Zollogical Park is one of the main allocations in the State Budget for Thrissur district.

The Kochi-Coimbatore Industrial Corridor Project will also benefit the district. The special package for the flood-hit panchayats will help the flood-ravaged district.

The decision to complete the Muziris Project in 2020-21 is promising for the district. The construction of Coastal Highway, having cycle track, connecting all the port cities in the State with the financial assistance of ₹6,000 crore from KIIFB will be a big boost for Spices Route.

A sum of ₹20 crore has been earmarked for starting Rice Parks, having international standards, at three centres in Palakkad, Thrissur and Alappuzha.

An amount of ₹83 crore has been earmarked for the Kerala Agricultural University and an amount of ₹75 crore for the Veterinary University. The Kerala Lalithakala Akademi will implement ‘Vanitha Mathil’ memorial projects in various districts. An amount of ₹33 crore is earmarked for the Kerala Institute of Local Administration, and ₹20 crore for Kerala University for Health Sciences.

The people in coastal belt will be benefited by the decision to provide ₹10 lakh for people, who have to be relocated due to sea erosion. An amount of ₹100 crore has been earmarked for their rehabilitation.

Allocation for Industrial parks will benefit Athani Industrial Park.
