Burglars broke open a temple hundi near Guduvanchery and took away ₹12,000 on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday. The burglary was captured on CCTV cameras installed on the Selva Vinayagar temple, Madampakkam. Thieves gained entry into the temple by scaling the compound wall. They broke open the hundi using a crowbar and took away the cash. The suspects also made an attempt to break open a hundi in another temple.
