It’s time for schoolchildren to put on their thinking cap as the 19th edition of The Hindu Young World Quiz competition is all set to roll out in 17 cities across the country.
The participants will be divided into juniors (classes 4 to 6) and seniors (classes 7 to 9). The juniors will compete in the morning session (9 a.m.) and seniors in the afternoon (2 p.m.). Winners will be given prizes on the same day.
The Vijayawada edition of the quiz is scheduled for Friday (February 1) at the P. B. Siddhartha College of Arts and Sciences at Mogalrajpuram. A school can send any number of teams and each team will consist of two members (from the same school and branch).
Registration fee
A sum of ₹200 will be charged from each team towards registration fee. Six teams will be selected in the preliminary written test to finalise the participants for the on-stage final round. Spot registrations can be done at the venue from 8.30 a.m. to 9 a.m. for juniors and from 12 noon to 1.30 p.m for seniors.
A maximum of two teams from the same school can qualify for the final round. Interested students can register names on www.thehindu.com/ ywquiz.
