(“F&M”), a leading private merchant bank headquartered in Toronto, Canada, with a global focus on the resource and technology sectors, today announced the addition of Tim Henderson, the recently retired Executive Director Operations for Glencore International AG, to its Advisory Board. Mr. Henderson joins several other noteworthy and highly regarded individuals on the advisory board which is chaired by former CNN talk show host Larry King.
As the former Executive Director Operations for Glencore, Mr. Henderson was responsible for the oversight of all Glencore's worldwide copper operations. Mr. Henderson also previously served as as Executive Director on the board of Mopani Copper Mines Plc and as Alternate Director on the board of Zambezi Resources Ltd, overseeing copper exploration in Zambia and identifying new opportunities in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Mr. Henderson was responsible for completing and implementing the feasibility study on Mutanda y Mukonkota Sprl in the DRC.
Prior to working at Glencore Mr. Henderson was the CEO of Mopani Copper Mines Plc, CEO of Empresa Minera Los Quenuales S.A. and Vice President, Operations at William Resources Inc.
