Teachers urged to inculcate scientific temper in students

As many as 293 science models were displayed by students at the Innovation of Science Pursuit for Inspire Research (INSPIRE) fair at the Telangana State Model School in Elgandal village of Kothapalli mandal on Monday. The two-day event, organised by the district educational department, was inaugurated by Collector Sarfaraz Ahmad.

The Collector visited all the stalls, took a close look at the exhibits and interacted with the students about their respective models. Speaking on the occasion, he called upon teachers to develop interest among the students in mathematics and science subjects by taking up innovating teaching methodology.

“If we develop the interest among students, they would definitely excel and come up with more innovations for the development of the country,” he said.

Mr. Ahmad also suggested that the students and teachers who visited the INSPIRE fair to inspect all the exhibits and collect the feedback for peer learning of various innovations.

With regard to the proposal for the launch of a rocket in Karimnagar district, the Collector informed the DEO and district science officer to submit a proposal so that he would write to the the authorities concerned to take up the project in the district.

DEO Venkateshwarlu, science officer S. Surender, DIET principal Anandam and principal of host school, Saritha, were present.
