A mother asked PM Modi that what should she do as her son, a Class-IX student, is distracted by online games. PM Modi’s reply on the question had the audience in splits. When the woman told Modi that her son is hooked to online games, PM asked: “Ye PUBG wala hai kya?” Then came the advice: “Ye samasya bhi hai, samadhaan bhi hai, hum chahe hamare bachhe tech se door chale jayen, fir toh vo ek prakar se piche jana shuru ho jaenge. (Then this is both the problem and the solution. If we want our kids to turn away from technology, then they will fall behind.)”
The interactive session with the Prime Minister was held at the Talkatora Stadium in Delhi. While interacting with a cross-section of students, teachers, and parents, Prime Minister Modi said: “I request parents, do not expect your children to fulfill your unfulfilled dreams. Every child has his or her own potential and strengths. It is important to understand these positives of every child”. At today’s event, participants also included college students from 24 states and Union Territories, according to a statement of the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development. As many as 675 students from across the country have reached Delhi for the event.
