Italdesign’s Bringing Something New To The 2019 Geneva Motor Show

Italdesign will be present at this year’s Geneva Motor Show with an entirely new product, which was teased on social media.

The short video appears to depict another high-performance model, finished in dark red and with what seems to be a very large wing at the back.

That’s all we’ve got for now, but the Italian coachbuilder will probably shed more light on it in the coming weeks, by releasing new teasers ahead of its premiere set for March 5.

Last year, Italdesign unveiled the Zerouno Duerta in Geneva. The drop-top supercar came one year after its coupe sibling and, like it, is powered bye the 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 found in the Lamborghini Huracan and Audi R8.

More recently, they teamed up with Nissan to create the stunning GT-R50. Presented originally as a prototype, it was so well received that Nissan and Italdesign decided to put it into limited production. Only 50 units will be made, with a starting price of €990,000 ($1,130,510), excluding taxes, in Europe.

The first examples will be delivered this year, featuring a distinctive exterior design and a reworked cockpit. More importantly, the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 has been heavily upgraded to 720 PS (710 hp / 530 kW) and 780 Nm (575 lb-ft) of torque, or about the same as the McLaren 720S.
