Toyota Camry Hybrid Electric
Toyota Camry Hybrid Electric was launched at an introductory price tag of ₹36.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). It comes with the same four-cylinder 2.5-litre engine setup that’s paired to an electric motor. The petrol engine is capable of producing 175bhp and 221Nm of torque with the electric motor producing 118bhp. At the front, it comes with an improved look offering dusk-sensing LED Projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, and a wide chrome grille which merges with the LED fog lamps located at the bottom of the bumper just above the chrome wrapped bumper lip. It houses new LED taillights with a sharper looking brake light design that connects to the chrome shaped Camry badging at the centre, and Hybrid badging on the trunk’s bottom right side. It has a spacious cabin spruced up with beige leather upholstery, hint of metallic accents and a moonroof that was missed in the last year’s Camry with a tilt and slide feature. It is equipped with 9 SRS Airbags and the audio experience for the passengers will be enjoyable with nine-speaker Premium Audio by JBL, you can operate GPS through an 8-inch Touchscreen Navigation system, and Heads-Up Display that features different information as well.
Nissan Kicks
Nissan Kicks has been launched for ₹9.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Pan India) for the petrol variant and ₹10.85 lakh for the diesel variant, which was first unveiled at our Exhibit Tech Fashion Tour 2018 on 18th October 2018, in Mumbai. The 1.5-litre H4K petrol engine that produces 105bhp at 5,600rpm and 142Nm of torque at 4,000rpm which is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, and the 1.5-litre K9K dCi diesel engine that produces 108bhp at 3,850rpm and 240Nm of torque at 1,750rpm which is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Dual-Tone exterior design and roof rails give the Kicks a muscular stance paired with 17″ machined alloy wheels. At the front, the V-shaped chrome grille is subtly designed which doesn’t beg you for its attention and the LED projector headlamps, cornering LED fog lights, LED Daytime Running Lights, and floating turn indicators enhances the Kicks’ front fascia. The thrilling part about the Kicks are the four cameras that give the driver a better perspective of the surrounding keeping safety in mind. Adding to the safety feature list are dual front airbags and side airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist, hill start assist, and cruise control.
Tata Harrier
The most awaited SUV car has been launched and it is priced at ₹12.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). It will be offered in four variants, XE, XM, XT, and XZ. Harrier is derived from Land Rover’s legendary D8 architecture, the OMEGA (Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced Architecture) platform. Under the hood, the Harrier is powered by Tata’s Kryotec 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 138bhp at 3,750rpm and 350Nm of torque at 1,750rpm, which is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The unique design of the Harrier gives it a distinct look due to its LED Daytime Running Lights which convert into turning indicators and under that are the Projector Headlamps. Talking about the features it offers, the XE variant which is the base variant offers Dual Airbags (Driver & Co-Driver), ABS with EBD, and perimetric alarm system. Whereas the top variant, the XZ is loaded with Xenon HID Projector Headlamps, Front fog lights with cornering function, 9 JBL speakers, 8.8″ floating touchscreen infotainment system, 6 Airbags, Electronic stability program, Hill hold control, Isofix child seat anchor points, and foldable 60:40 rear seat split.
Yamaha FZ V3.0
Yamaha’s new FZ V3.0 is priced at ₹95,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and will be on sale with two variants, FZ-FI ABS and FZ-S FI ABS. The ABS is a single channel unit. The new additions are the new LED headlight with separate housing for the beams, freshly design tank cover, a sliding engine kill switch. The mudguards are borrowed from FZ25. The instrument cluster is all new and updated which is an all-digital LCD meter with bigger readouts. Yamaha claims that the front-end design and the tank is inspired by an urban fighter. The seat is an all-new 2 level single piece seat which is 5mm thicker with a 16% larger surface. The double piece grab-rail on the previous generation makes way for an all-new single piece aluminium grab rail. The FZ-S gets an underbelly cowl and chrome plate along with exclusive colour schemes compared to the FZ. The FZ V3.0 gets a newly designed sub-frame along with a higher handlebar position. The Yamaha FZ V3.0 continues to use a 140mm radial rear tyre with a rear disc. The engine is the same 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 2-valve, fuel-injected engine with BlueCore technology, producing 13.1bhp at 8,000rpm and 12.8Nm of torque at 6,000rpm.
