AHMEDABAD: All Gujarat State School Administrators Union has announced a major convention at Preksha Bharati in Koba near Gandhinagar on January 29 to discuss a number of pending issues.
According to the organizers, state education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama will be present at the event where over 4,000 administrators are expected to participate.
The organizers said that the government has already been told that they will have to get the problems resolved before the upcoming general elections as a number of representations have not yielded any satisfactory results.
One of the major issues is appointment of principals in 2,100 grant-in-aid schools in Gujarat and allotment of grants on merit and result of the schools over the years.
A rift between two factions inside the union also surfaced with contradictory stands on key issues, said sources.
A memorandum will also be prepared from the proceedings and submitted to the state government, added sources.
