Gurgaon: A Farrukhnagar resident has moved police, accusing a 24-year-old man of harassing, raping and threatening to kill her 16-year-old daughter. Gaurav, also a resident of Farrukhnagar and a school drop-out, was arrested and will be produced in a city court on Tuesday.
The girl, a student of Class 10, revealed to her mother that Gaurav had been harassing her for a long time and on January 24, he forced her to sit in his car and took her to a room in the fields, where he raped her thrice. He then dropped her home and told her to stay mum or else he would kill her.

On Monday morning, the girl did not want to go to school and when her mother started questioning her, she finally told her what had happened.

The mother, along with her brother-in-law, approached Farrukhnagar police and the case was referred to the Women’s police station, Manesar. “She was under immense stress for the past few days and I was worried. She was reluctant to go to school and when I questioned her, she broke down and told me about the incident,” the mother told police.

An FIR has been registered against Gaurav under Section 6 of the POCSO Act and Section 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC at the Women’s police station, Manesar.

“The girl was rushed to a hospital for a medical examination and doctors have confirmed rape. We arrested Gaurav and he has confessed,” said SHO Kanta Yadav.
