"Devani was staying at a hotel in Santacruz. He had Kenyan currencies and travel documents including his passport inside the bag. After he got down from the auto, he realised that he forgot the bag inside the vehicle and immediately rushed at his hotel where he was guided to approach Juhu police station as it comes under our jurisdiction. Our officers immediately took the case and our detection team managed to get the details of the autorickshaw. All details about the vehicle were recovered from the Regional Transport Officer (RTO) and within 30 minutes and the driver Vinodkumar Gupta was tracked down," said senior police inspector of Juhu Police station, Pandharinath Wavhal.
"Gupta had gone to his residence for having lunch and he had no idea of the bag. He was taken to the police station along with the bag where all the cash and documents were recovered as it is. Gupta was also facilitated by Devani," added Wavhal.
