A woman claims she was forced to spit out a mouthful of cheese cubes after police accused her of smuggling heroin.

Katherine Oliver (43) from Merseyside, UK, was on her way home when she briefly stopped to buy a snack of mini cheeses.

The private care worker claims she was still eating the cheese when unmarked police officers blocked her car as she pulled into her driveway.

Minutes later a police officer opened the driver’s door, grabbed Katherine’s face and reportedly told her to spit out what she was eating, Mirror reports.

"After stopping and then pulling away, I literally went around three corners and was turning into my drive when I saw a flash of cars,” Katherine said.

"An unmarked car came flying and blocked me and when I looked in the mirror, there was another one at the back.

"Four officers jumped out and I was absolutely astounded when my driver door was swung open.

"My mouth was literally bulging with mini cheddars and an officer was screaming.

"He was saying, 'what's in your mouth, what's in your mouth', and I was struggling to say 'mini cheddars, mini cheddars' through the mouthful.”

Katherine claims the police questioned her about her whereabouts and accused her of coming from a “drug house”.

“I was absolutely petrified. I suffer from panic attacks and anxiety and had my hands on my chest just saying, ‘I don’t understand’,” she said.

She added that the officers drove away without apologising, Daily Stormer reports.

Katherine has since laid a formal complaint with Merseyside police.
