Where Is Honda From and Where Are Hondas Made?

Like many automakers, Honda is an international corporation, so it builds cars in many different places for many different markets. This post, in addition to delving into a brief history of Honda’s origins, will focus on where Honda builds its cars that are slated for the North American market.

The American Honda Motor Company, which is the automaker’s U.S. subsidiary, was founded in 1959 and initially sold only motorcycles. The first Honda automobile sold in the United States and Canada was the 1970 Honda N600 sedan, which was built in Suzuka, Japan and then shipped to North America.
