CARACAS, Venezuela—Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaidó, who has been declared interim president by the National Assembly, said Monday that he expects that a combination of international and domestic pressure will force authoritarian President Nicolás Maduro from power.

“This is unprecedented in the world,” he said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal. “I think the change is going to be peaceful and constitutional.”
