Consumers can presently pay at 34 sub-divisions of the department through cash, cheque, draft and at ATPMs at Panaji, Margao, Ponda, Mapusa and Vasco, at over 300 cooperative societies as well as online and through the department’s app.
With the introduction of the Bharat Bill Payment System, bill collections will be updated in the department’s database. In the past, it would take time for the payment to reflect in the database, resulting in consumers getting arrears added to their bills despite having paid them.
