Indore/Maheswar: A BBA student of Prestige Institute of Management and Research (PIMR) met with watery grave in Narmada River on Saturday. The incident occurred when he was swimming along with his three friends in the river at Maheshwar. The deceased, Gagan Agrawal (18), of Morena, was pursuing BBA second semester from the city and was staying in a boys’ hostel in Vijay Nagar. On Saturday, he along with his three friends had gone to Maheshwar. Maheshwar police station in-charge Jagdish Goyal said two of his friends were swimming in the deep water while Gagan and another friend were sitting on the bank. Gagan later started swimming and reached deep water. As he didn’t know swimming perfectly, he drowned in the deep water. His friends tried to save him but could not do so. Local fishermen took him out of water but by then he had died. Later, the police were informed. Police sent the body for autopsy and informed his family members. Police later handed over his body to family members after autopsy and started an investigation into the case. Gagan’s father is a distributor in an FMCG company in Morena. He said Gagan was a good student and was his only child. He came to Indore in July, 2018 for BBA course
