ROHTAK: Breaking silence for the first time after forming an alliance with the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) for Jind bypoll, AAP state unit chief Naveen Jaihind said that the alliance might be continued in the upcoming Lok Sabha and assembly polls.

Talking to TOI exclusively, Jaihind said that the decision to form an alliance with the JJP, that has fielded Digvijay Chautala, was taken after being approached by the fledgling party headed by Hisar MP Dushyant Chautala. Earlier, Jaihind had announced to campaign for NOTA in Jind byelection.

"Dushyant Chautala talks of new politics in the state and APP shares the same thought on bidding goodbye to the old style of politics, which reeks of corruption and nepotism," Jaihind added. He said that though no decision pertaining to future of the alliance between both parties had been taken for the Lok Sabha but they were open to working with new parties wanting to work for people. Abbreviating Congress, BJP and INLD as CBI, he said that they do not mind joining hands with parties with clean record to root out CBI from the state forever.

Ducking a question on seat sharing if both parties go to polls together, he said that it was too early to comment on this. "We are here to serve and not to get served or benefited. AAP is a party borne out of anti-corruption agitation," he said. On who would be the chief minister face if AAP-JJP go together, he said that the CM post was not a question of importance to them but issues like jobs and development were more dear to them.

On the outcome of Jind bypoll, he said that Digivijay Chautala would make history by winning with a decisive margin as people of Jind have made up their mind to support him.
