HYDERABAD: With the five-day Sahasra Chandi Yagam being completed successfully, the mood in TRS camp is upbeat with the hope that chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will take up the much-awaited expansion of the cabinet.
TRS leaders said KCR may take expansion of the cabinet by the end of this month or in the first week of February.
Also, with the Modi-led BJP government at the Centre expected to present a vote on account budget in Parliament on February 1, CM KCR may opt for vote on account budget. It will be presented in Telangana assembly in second week or third week of February after ascertaining the allocations for Telanagana state in the Union budget (vote on account budget).
Also, the central finance commission will be arriving in the state capital on February 15, and CM KCR, along with finance department officials, will present the case of the state government, seeking more devolution of central funds to Telangana.
A senior TRS leader, said: “We are expecting KCR to expand the cabinet before the vote on account budget in the Parliament or before it is presented in the Telangana state assembly. We are anticipating a full-fledged finance minister and a legislative affairs minister to be in place when vote on account budget is presented in the assembly.”
