HARD QUIZ
Series return ★★★½
8pm, ABC
A really nice vibe has developed on this show, with the quirky contestants thoroughly entering into the spirit established by irascible host Tom Gleeson. It creates a virtuous comedic circle wherein the players not only give as good as they get, they're constantly feeding potential lines to Gleeson, too. Plus, of course, there are the eclectic quiz subjects. Tonight that's the Rugby World Cup, the Treehouse books, Vespers, and Elvis.
MICHAEL MOORE'S FAHRENHEIT 11/9
★★★½
8.30pm, SBS
The older he gets, the more I enjoy Michael Moore's films. He's as angry as he ever was – with good reason – but he's just a little less brash, and a little more thoughtful. So as he examines just how Trump became the 45th President of the United States we're delivered an excoriating examination of the role of the media – in which Moore doesn't spare himself. But what's most depressing is the well-made point that Trump was not only a long time coming, he was quite possibly inevitable.
ROSEHAVEN
Series return ★★½
ABC, 8.30pm
Here we are back in the land of ill-fitting knitwear, with Daniel and Emma continuing to give real estate agents an even worse rep than they had already. Luke McGregor's Daniel is doing his best to grow into responsibility. Celia Pacquola's Emma is as annoyingly, relentlessly immature as ever. When the two are in cahoots on something they're delightful but when they're at odds – as they often are – this can be really quite irritating viewing. Tonight, Dan is trying to get Emma to behave more responsibly. And there's a pig.
