BHOPAL: Hurt by alleged derogatory remarks, a BJP corporator Tulsa Verma is all set to move Women Commission against BMC Leader of opposition Mohammad Sageer. In the council meet held on Friday, Sageer had allegedly body-shamed the woman corporator. Sageer while accusing Verma of receiving bribe from people involved diesel tanker scam had commented on her weight. Taking objection to it, BJP woman corporators came down to the floor of the house demanding an apology from Sageer. Aggrieved Verma sat on the floor and refused to let the meeting proceed until Sageer tendered an apology for his objectionable comment. She also accused Sageer of leveling baseless allegations against her without having any evidence to corroborate them. Since Congress leader refused to apologies, amidst ruckus, the council meet was suspended for five minutes. When the meet resumed, Verma, continued to insist an apology from Sageer. At this Congress corporators gathered against her saying that they would now boycott the meet. Verma when contacted said that she will take up the matter before her seniors and would file a complaint against Sageer with the Women Commission. How could a senior leader use such words against a woman? Said the BJP corporator, adding, Sageer was not sorry for his remark as he never apologized for it.
