On Monday, the police had arrested one Sagar (24), an alleged member of Sunder Bhati Gang while his accomplice Chander Kant remains absconding. Two pistols were recovered from Sagar.

According to the police, the arrested accused has been identified as Nisar Khan a resident of Meerut, UP, who had supplied gun to Sagar.

"During interrogation, Sagar had revealed that he had purchased the weapon from Khan. Following this a raid was conducted at Khan's native village in Meerut. We found out that he had left for Nizamuddin bus terminal in Delhi to supply arms to some of his clients. After which a trap was laid and he was nabbed and a pistol was found on his search," Deputy Commissioner of Police, South east, Chinmoy Biswal, said.

"We have sent a team to Bihar and several other states to nab the other accused Kant who is on a run at the moment. However, he shall be caught soon. We are also interrogating Khan as to know his suppliers and involvement in the past," said Biswal.
