Manchester United and England player Jesse Lingard has admitted Liverpool are the toughest side he has come up against this season.

The 26-year-old was asked on Soccer AM which Premier League team were the most challenging and the Lingard had a think about it before deciding it was Jurgen Klopp’s men.

The Reds beat United 3-1 earlier in December which was the final game in charge for Jose Mourinho.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was then appointed and has won his first eight games in charge, a total contrast to was the club was achieving under the Portuguese manager.

And Lingard has a warning for Liverpool ahead of next month’s clash at Old Trafford report the Liverpool Echo.

He said: “Our way of playing and way we are thinking has changed.

 

“Next time against Liverpool? We’ll win.”

The next time the two teams meet will is on February 24 which could be a pivotal game in Liverpool’s title challenge run in.
