This is the shocking moment a Massachusetts man was filmed clinging to the hood of a car for THREE miles following an alleged road rage incident with a fellow driver.

Richard Kamrowski, 65, jumped onto the speeding SUV after an argument following a minor crash with 37-year-old Mark Fitzgerald on Interstate 90 just outside Boston, police say.

In the clip the driver can be heard shouting 'get off my car' as Fitzgerald reportedly reached speeds of 70mph and used the windshield wipers as Kamrowski held on.

The footage shows the white 2016 Infiniti, which had a cracked windshield, speeding up and slowing down.

Other motorists filmed the altercation on a busy stretch of the road as Fitzgerald drove 'a very significant distance' with Kamrowski on the vehicle, police say.

In a statement police said: 'The SUV then traveled at speeds up to 70 mph, stopping and then accelerating again when the man on the hood did not get off.'

Kamrowski, of Framingham, told NBC10 Boston: 'I thought he was going to run over me. I don't think he stopped, he kept going fast, slow, fast, slow, to get me to slide off.'

As others tried to intervene a man with a gun can be seen pointing it at the SUV to try and stop the car.

Authorities say the incident only came to an end when other drivers intervened and the car pulled over.
