Proposal to confer PhD degrees from dais mulled
TNN | Jan 28, 2019, 04:04 ISTVadodara: Just three days before the annual convocation ceremony, the officials of M S University have moved a proposal whereby PhD recipients will also be conferred degrees from the dais.
Traditionally, only students who are gold medalists are conferred their medals and felicitated from the dais during the convocation ceremony.
Sources said that officials of MSU have moved a proposal which will be placed before university’s syndicate members on Monday whereby along with gold medalists, PhD recipients will also be felicitated during the convocation ceremony.
The proposal clubbing the gold medalists and PhD recipients was moved at the last minute. The syndicate members, who are otherwise considered close to the university officials, were also unaware about the proposal till Sunday.tnn
