Congress president Rahul Gandhi and his mother and former party chief Sonia Gandhi arrived in Goa on a three-day private visit, the State police sources said on Saturday.

They arrived by a special flight and would stay at a five-star resort in south Goa, party sources here confirmed.

Congress spokesperson Sunil Kawthankar, when contacted, said the leaders were not expected to meet with party functionaries as it was a private visit.
