According to her, she had gotten into the auto-rickshaw around 8 pm after work. Within a few minutes after the journey started, she reportedly fell asleep. The auto-rickshaw driver, who found the woman sleeping, took the vehicle to Porur instead of Chetpet, she alleged in the complaint.
When she woke up, she found herself in the auto-rickshaw that was near Porur. When she confronted the driver, he refused to answer, she alleged. However, she managed to escape, she added in the complaint.
She also charged the driver with stealing her money and ATM card, and of trying to kidnap her. However, the police said they have not registered any FIR till Friday evening as they were trying to verify her allegations. “There are a lot of gaps in her story; we are not sure if the compliant is genuine or not,” they added.
