306 ryot families gained from Rythu Bima

Collector M. Hanumantha Rao said that as many as 306 families of farmers had benefitted under Rytu Bima scheme in the district with insurance companies depositing an amount of ₹ 5 lakh each. He said that as much as ₹15.3 crore was deposited in the accounts of the farmer’s families.

Addressing the Republic Day celebrations here on Saturday, Mr. Hanumantha Rao said that as many as 2,69,318 farmers were benefitted to the tune of ₹ 284.33 crore under Rytu Bandhu during kharif and another ₹ 287.47 crore was sanctioned to as many as 2,76,125 farmers in Rabi. He said that so far ₹ 234.84 crore was deposited into the accounts of 2,14,156 farmers.

Informing that Rytu Bazar was constructed at a cost of ₹ 1 crore, the Collector said that another ₹ 1.27 crore was sanctioned for the construction of rytu bazar at Jogipet. Referring to Mission Bhagiratha, he said that safe drinking water is being supplied to 13.15 lakh people in the district. He has also explained about health education and other aspects of development.

At Siddipet Collector D Krishna Bhaskar and at Medak Collector K. Dharma Reddy hoisted the national flag as part of celebrations. Cultural programmes were also held by students.
