Games remain on serve. Kvitova survived one break point there as her groundstrokes faltered and Osaka attacked the Czech's serve. Tight, tense contest on RLA. 

Osaka saved two break points to keep the set on serve. Kvitova's forehand was brutally good in that game, but Osaka fought hard to hold. 

A couple of longer rallies there, or rallies at least. Beautiful ace to get it to 40-15, low pace but brilliantly placed wide so Osaka couldn't reach it. 

Love service game finished off with an ace by Osaka. Both ladies on early. 

Kvitova tore through that game. She hit a beautiful winner to get 40-0 and then forced an error from Osaka to win the game. 

After a double fault she steadied and won the game, despite Kvitova getting it to 30-30.

Osaka wins and she will serve first. Kvitova got to choose the side of the coin and she chose Laver over ANZ.
