A growth of 35 per cent has been observed making the energy sector as one of the top 5 employment choices in 2018. Countries across the world are switching to clean energy and are making efforts to move towards a low-carbon economy. This has, in turn, created many new jobs opportunities in the renewable energy sector in India thus making the sector highly encouraging and exciting for job seekers.
AI, robotics soar high among seekers
There has been an increase of 164 per cent in AI related job searches and a 233 per cent increase in robotics related job searches in India. AI and robotics are redefining the entire world and are generating innovative and exciting job roles. This has led to a notable demand for professionals who understand robotics and AI, thus making it the most sought after jobs.
These trends of 2018 are indicative of the shifts in the current job market. The labour market is an extension of the socioeconomic status of a country. Patterns of job search can highlight broader social trends and economic developments across various industrial sectors. New age technologies such as robotics, the blockchain, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity have been on the rise, as more and more companies are embracing a tech-assimilated future.
