The 21-year-old Japanese star Naomi Osaka wins the 2019 Australian Open final in an absolute classic. She beat Petra Kvitova 7-6, 5-7, 6-4 in a see-sawing match on Rod Laver Arena. It's her second grand slam ever, and her second in a row after she won the 2018 US Open.

Osaka has to hold her nerve now, it's the second time tonight she will serve for the championship. 

Kvitova misses a volley, badly, to hand Osaka that game. It included a very good challenge by Osaka to get her to 40-0. Kvitova serving to stay in the final. 

As good a hold as you will see. Kvitova saved three break points and then won five in a row to hold serve. It was an incredible, courageous display. The no.8 seed seemed to attack her forehand even harder when she was in a deep hole, and it dug her out. Brilliant tennis. 

Osaka had to save a break point to do it though. She served well to Kvitova's left on numerous occasions, even though it's the Czech's strength. What a game at the moment on RLA.
