The Centre announced President’s Medal for 23 State police officers.
The President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service goes to B. Govindasamy, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Special Investigation Unit, Tiruchi, and E. Sorimuthu, Inspector of Police, Special Task Force, Erode. Twenty one officers have been awarded Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
C. Mageshwari, Joint Commissioner of Police (South), Greater Chennai Police; N. Kamini, DIG, Ramanathapuram Range; S. Santhi, SP, Tamil Nadu Police Academy, are the women officers getting the medal. Sankarasubramanian, Inspector of Police, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, City-I, Chennai; S. John Victor, Inspector, Prohibition Enforcement Wing, Ponneri, Tiruvallur; V.
