Block on WR for 11 hours on Feb. 2

Those planning to travel late on February 2 from south Mumbai should opt for the road as the Western Railway (WR) will run an 11-hour block starting 10 p.m. to dismantle the Delisle Road Bridge at Lower Parel. The block will be in force till 9 a.m. on February 3, during which time there will be no train services between Dadar and Churchgate.

During the block period, fast local services will operate between Dadar and Virar and Dahanu Road, while slow services will run between Bandra and Borivali, Bhayandar and Virar. The last slow and fast locals will leave Churchgate at 9.39 p.m. and 9.44 p.m. respectively. Altogether 205 suburban services and 10 long-distance passenger trains will be cancelled due to the block.

On February 3, several trains coming into the city will be terminated at Borivali or Dadar. The Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad Gujarat Mail and the Mumbai Central-Vadodara Express will depart from Dadar on February 2, while the Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad Passenger will depart from Borivali on January 3.
