TNN | Jan 26, 2019, 07:39 ISTHisar: A two-year-old girl was mauled to death by a pack of stray dogs in Chattha village of Haryana’s Sirsa district on Thursday evening. The tragic incident comes just a month after Amrit Lal, a 32-year-old resident of Pichalia in Haryana’s Fatehabad district, was mauled to death by stray dogs on December 21.
The girl, identified as Yeshpreet lived with her family at Dhani Sukha Singh that falls in the farmland of Chattha village in Dabwali. She was playing outside home when some stray dogs dragged her to a field and mauled her to death, according to locals. Yeshpreet’s parents, who started looking for her once they discovered she was missing, rescued her after a lot of effort from the dogs, but she had died by then, they added.
Sadar Dabwali SHO, sub-inspector Raj Kumar, said the family had conducted her funeral before informing cops. The villagers have sought government aid to get rid of the stray dog menace.
Kalanwali MLA Balkaur Singh Gill said he did not know about the incident but would meet the district administration on the issue.
