EMO Hannover 2019 to have special booths on IOT

Pune: Organisers of the EMO Hannover 2019, world’s leading trade fair for metalworking, which will take place from September 16 to 21, announced that this year the fair will have special booths for Internet of Things (IOT), Augmented reality and other innovative technologies in metalworking field. The fair is organised by VDW (Verein Deutscher Werkzeugmaschinenfabriken), Frankfurt am Main, Germany, on behalf of the European Machine Tool Association Cecimo from Brussels, Belgium, and in cooperation with Deutsche Messe AG, Hanover, Germany. Over 1,780 exhibitors from 41 countries have registered so far and the organisers are expecting the number to cross 2,200. 

While addressing a press meet Wilfred Schafer, Executive Director EMO Hannover, said that the EMO Hannover 2019 will take place under the motto ‘Smart technologies driving tomorrow’s production’. “This year, there will be new booths for IoT in production, augmented reality, cloud technologies, mobile learning softwares and other innovative trends in the field. The list of innovation by the exhibitors is expected in June. The innovation will mainly focus around products with data security, data analysis, process monitoring, predictive maintenance, precission technologies,” added Schafer.   

Schafer said that the EMO Hannover will showcase smart technologies for intelligent factory.

Market leaders in various technology sectors will be present, including DMG MORI, FFG, Mazak, Siemens, Grob, Doosan, Fanuc, Okuma, Makino, Index. New exhibitors are being added daily, according to organisers.
