Share market update: Nifty PSU Bank index flat; OBC rises 1%

NEW DELHI: Shares of PSU banks were trading on a mixed note in Friday's morning session.

The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 0.03 per cent up at 2992.65 around 10:14 am.

Shares of Oriental Bank of Commerce (up 1.07 per cent) , Punjab National Bank (up 0.38 per cent) , Bank of India (up 0.15 per cent) and Union Bank of India (up 0.12 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

Syndicate Bank (down 0.84 per cent), Indian Bank (down 0.63 per cent), IDBI Bank Ltd. (down 0.45 per cent ) and Vijaya Bank (down 0.33 per cent) were trading in the red.

The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 0.03 per cent up at 2992.65 around 10:14 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 72.10 points at 10,921.90 while the BSE Sensex was up 255.35 points at 36,450.45.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 41 were trading in the green, while 9 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, ICICI Bank, Ashok Leyland, Bharti Infratel, Biocon, Sun Pharma, ITC, Tata Motors, RIL, SBI and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
