2019 Corvette Grand Sport Drivers Series Leaks Via Daytona App

With the all-new mid-engine Corvette C8 now on everyone’s mind, the current C7 model has taken a bit of a step back out of the spotlight. Still, Chevy is clearly not done with the C7 just yet, as they’re about to unveil the special edition 2019 Corvette Grand Sport Driver Series.

The official reveal will take place today, January 25, at 11:30 am EST time, at the Rolex 24 race at Daytona. Also, this might just be the last time we see a new version of a front-engine Vette.

Of course, as you can see in the screenshot below, courtesy of Corvette Blogger, we’ll be dealing with not just one but four special edition models, pictured alongside Corvette Racing drivers Oliver Gavin, Jan Magnussen, Tommy Milner and Antonio Garcia.

Each of them got to select a specific exterior color theme, and from left to right, here’s what we have: a Shadow Grey model with a red hood vent and red stinger graphic, an Arctic White Vette with a Long Beach Red full-length body stripe, an Elkhart Lake Blue one with the Silver full-length body stripe and finally a Corvette Racing Yellow model with the Black stinger graphic.

The app states the fact that all of these special edition models feature full Corvette Grand Sport equipment, which in turn should mean that you can only order them with the 3LT Equipment Package. Also available is a commemorative interior plaque, so as to let you know you’re behind the wheel of a special edition Vette, and not just any regular Grand Sport.

Three of the four Drivers Series models were actually spotted parked in front of the Chevrolet Experience Center at Daytona, with the only version unaccounted for being the Shadow Grey one with the red hood vent and red stinger graphic.

We should learn more about the cars as following their official unveiling, which is now just hours away.
