Uttar Pradesh Police gives self-defense tips to students

To mitigate crimes against women and make them self-reliant and capable to defend themselves, Uttar Pradesh Police - under the aegis of Women Power Line organized a one-day Workshop on ‘Self Defense Training of Girls’ at Amity University Sector 125 Noida.
The training programme was attended by more than 500 girl students of various schools and colleges of Noida.
Enlightening the students, Anju Gupta, ADG - Women Empowerment, Uttar Pradesh Police briefed about various programmes initiated by UP Police such as 1090 women helpline, to empower women from all forms of harassment and ensure their safety in society.
Aparna Rajawat, an International Martial Art Medalist and National Champion, demonstrated various techniques to the students to protect themselves from any physical assault.
