Sainik School Bijapur will host the mega concluding ceremony of the inter-Sainik School Mahotsav for three days from January 29.
Speaking to presspersons here on Thursday, vice-principal of the school Lt. Cdr. Ravikant Shukla said that Sainik School Bijapur has been chosen to hold the event where cadets of all 28 Sainik Schools of the country will participate.
He said this is the first time that such a mega event is being held where hundreds of cadets of different Sainik Schools coming under the Ministry of Defence willbe attending.
“This event will showcase the rich cultural heritage and tradition of various States. It will be like a convergence of different States at Sainik School,” he said. A musical programme will also be held where different artistes will showcase their talent.
“One of the main events will be presentation of food of different States. Not many get the chance to taste food of other States,” he said.
He said the ‘Run for Unity’ marathon will also be part of the event where over a thousand cadets will participate on January 30.
