Dance programme on Sunday
TNN | Jan 25, 2019, 06:07 ISTHubballi: Mayur Nrutya Academy will organize ‘Mayurotsava-2019’, a dance programme at Convention Hall in New Cotton Market here on Sunday.
Academy president Hema Waghamode said on Thursday that the programme was being organised in association with the Kannada and culture department. Mayor Sudhir Saraf, minister C S Shivalli, MLA Prasad Abbayya, K S Sharma, Raghavendra Ramadurg, Sulabha Datta Neeralagi will be the chief guests.
“The academy is organising the programme with intention to promote classical music and provide young artists a platform to showcase their talent. The academy has 550 students of which 356 will participate in the programme,” she added.
The artists will perform ‘Navarasa Nataraj’ dance form. The academy is having branches at Kumar Park, Keshwapur, Lingaraj nagar, Kotalinga Nagar, she said.
Dinesh Waghamode, Raghavendra Ramadurg, Maruti Hutagi, H S Kiran and others were present.
