Which SUV Helped The Most Freeing This Bus Stuck In The Snow?

If you live in a place where winters get really harsh and your group of friends does not include off-road enthusiasts, then you might find yourself in a difficult situation.

A Montreal driver discovered what it’s like to have an off-road crew come to your rescue when his bus got stuck in snow on a steep hill right outside the station. The bus couldn’t power its way forward on the slippery road and the fact that it is rear-wheel-drive (as most buses are) probably didn’t help either.

Thankfully for the driver and his passengers, the drivers of a Toyota Sequoia, Toyota 4Runner and Jeep Wrangler took matters into their own hands and strapped themselves together to pull the bus up the hill. The pecking order was not surprising: the truck-based Sequoia was first, followed by the 4Runner, the Wrangler, and, of course, the stranded bus.

The drivers thought that pulling in a trainlike formation would give them three times the traction and power to haul the bus. As the video captured by a bystander shows, their strategy paid off. It wasn’t easy though. Some serious effort was put in by the SUVs — just watch as the Wrangler Unlimited JK struggles for traction several times in the middle of the unusual motorized tug of war.

In the end, the three SUVs won and the bus got unstuck. Kudos to the saviors and their rugged vehicles equipped with off-road tires, lift kits and 4×4 transmissions with low range. If not for them, chances are that the passengers would have to get off and find an alternative way to get to their destinations.
