After a great start against New Zealand in the first ODI, India will look to dominate the home team on their soil in the second ODI tomorrow (January 26). India came forward with a dominant bowling performance in the first ODI at Napier, with spinners Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav and pacer Mohammed Shami putting up impressive bowling performances.

In the first ODI, there were several records achieved by Indian cricketers. For instance, Shikhar Dhawan reached 5000 ODI runs, Shami bagged his 100th wicket and Virat Kohli entered top 10 players with most ODI runs in career. In the second ODI too, there are some records expected to be broken. Let us have a look at such stats.

• Virat Kohli (336) needs 1 run to surpass M Azharuddin (336) when it comes to total number of runs against New Zealand on New Zealand soil. He also needs just 9 runs to surpass Ajay Jadeja (344) in the same record.
• Mohammed Shami (14) needs 1 wicket to surpass Zaheer Khan (14) and Anil Kumble (14) in total number of ODI wickets against Kiwis in New Zealand.
• MS Dhoni (10366) is just 40 runs away from surpassing Brian Lara (10430) in most runs in ODI career. He will become 11th on the list.
• Ravindra Jadeja (1990) is just 10 runs away from reaching mark of 2000 runs in ODIs.
• If Virat scores a century, he will become the first and only Indian skipper to smash a century in New Zealand aginast Kiwis.
• If India win the match, they will equal the record of Sri Lanka (12) for total number of ODI wins against New Zealand in New Zealand.
